Who handles your information

Saban Ali, trading as Vueraith, is responsible for the personal information it uses to run this shop and fulfil your orders. Contact saban.shareef@icloud.com or write to Saban Ali (Vueraith), Southdene Court, Pymmes Green Road, London N11 1DG, United Kingdom.

Information used to run the shop

This includes your name, contact and delivery details, order and payment transaction information, account details if you create an account, support messages, and device and browsing information collected through the website. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy notices. Please do not send card details in support messages.

Why we use it

  • Orders and support: to take payment, deliver purchases, manage returns and provide requested support. We rely on performing our contract with you or taking steps you request before a contract.
  • Security and service administration: to prevent fraud, keep the shop functioning and handle complaints. We rely on our legitimate interests where these do not override your rights.
  • Legal requirements: to keep required transaction records and respond to lawful requests.
  • Marketing and optional tracking: with consent where required. You can unsubscribe from marketing without stopping essential order messages. Visiting the site does not by itself mean you consent to marketing or health-data use.

Prescriptions, measurements and images

A prescription contains health information and needs additional protection. Where a prescription service is available, the purpose is to assess the order, check fitting and lens details, arrange manufacture and provide aftercare. The relevant laboratory or optical reviewer may need the prescription and fitting information; a courier needs delivery details, not your clinical record.

Use only the dedicated secure submission route offered for your order. Do not send prescriptions, medical records or clinical images through ordinary email or the general contact form. If there is no secure route, ask about availability without sending clinical information.

Before collecting health information, we must explain the applicable lawful basis, the additional condition allowing health-data processing, recipients and retention for that service. Where we rely on explicit consent, we must obtain it separately: accepting shopping terms is not enough. You can withdraw that consent by contacting us; this may prevent us from completing a prescription service that needs the information. Withdrawal does not undo lawful earlier use or override necessary legal record-keeping.

Camera or fitting tools, where offered, must explain what images or measurements they capture, whether they leave your device, who receives them and how long they are kept before you start. This policy does not authorise unrelated use of prescription information or clinical images for advertising.

Who receives information

Information is shared as needed with Shopify, payment providers, hosting and support providers, manufacturing and optical partners, and delivery providers. Relevant information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or to handle a legal claim. Manufacturing partners may fulfil orders directly, including from outside the UK. We remain your contact for order problems.

Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our Store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over use of your personal information for these purposes. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and any rights you may have, you can visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy . Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights with respect to your personal information here Shopify Privacy Portal Link.

Information sent outside the UK

Shopify and other providers may process information outside the UK. Transfers must use an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections, where required. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards relevant to your order.

How long information is kept

We keep order and support information for as long as needed to fulfil the order, provide aftercare, meet tax and accounting duties and handle legal claims. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligations. Prescription records and images need a service-specific retention explanation before collection; they must not be kept indefinitely simply because storage is available. Contact us for the retention period applying to your record.

Cookies and choices

Essential technologies support functions such as the basket, checkout and security. Advertising and other tracking that requires consent must wait for your choice. Read Cookies & Privacy Preferences for more information. Browser settings can block cookies, although this may affect shopping functions.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your information and object to certain uses. You can always object to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Some records must be retained to meet legal duties. We may need proportionate identity checks before releasing personal information.

Send requests to our email above. We normally respond within one month; if the law allows an extension for a complex request, we will explain it within that month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security and updates

Access to personal information should be limited to those who need it for the relevant purpose. No system is entirely risk-free. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We update this notice when our practices change and provide further notice where required.
