Know your PD. Choose with confidence.

Learn how pupil distance affects lens positioning, and check an entry supplied by your optician.

This entry checker runs in your browser. It does not save or send your measurement to Vueraith.

01 / Understand your PD

What are we measuring?

Pupillary distance (PD) is the distance, in millimetres, between the centres of your pupils. It helps a qualified optical professional position prescription lenses correctly.

PD · mm

Single PD is one number for both eyes. Monocular (dual) PD is recorded as two numbers, one for each eye.

Already have your PD?

Enter the value shown on your prescription or provided by your optician.

What does your prescription show?
mm

Enter the values exactly as provided by your optician. Typical ranges are only a guide and cannot confirm that a value is correct.

Need to measure it?

Ask your optician for your pupil distance. If you already have a value, use the entry checker above to check its format.

You can choose your frames and upload your prescription without entering a PD. Our team will confirm any missing fitting details after payment and before making your lenses.
